The trial is the real conversion
Selling a twelve-month membership from an ad is hard; selling a free trial session is easy. We make the trial the campaign objective, then engineer the walkthrough — confirmation message, reminder, who greets them, what happens in the first ten minutes — because that visit, not the ad, is where the membership is won. A trial that nobody follows up within an hour converts at a fraction of one that gets called immediately.
Content from your own floor
Stock fitness footage is invisible. What works is your trainers, your members, your equipment — a transformation story with real numbers, a trainer correcting form in thirty seconds, a 5 a.m. class that actually looks like 5 a.m. We set up a shoot rhythm that captures this without needing a crew every week.
Radius is everything
Nobody drives forty minutes to a gym. Campaigns run in tight rings around the facility, split by the commute pattern of the area — residential versus office catchment behave differently, and a gym in a corporate district should be selling lunch-hour slots, not weekend ones. We also push hard on local search, because 'gym near me' is a high-intent query with immediate payoff.
Retention is cheaper than acquisition
A member who leaves in month three makes the whole funnel unprofitable. We run the retention side too — check-in nudges for members who have not visited in ten days, milestone messages, referral offers timed to the moment somebody is happiest. Fixing churn usually improves the economics more than lowering cost per lead.
